Nissan’s Exciting New Plans

In the last couple years Nissan has released the Nissan Leaf EV and Nissan Juke. However, this was only the beginning.  The Japanese Automaker has plans to release 51 new models to the market within the next decade. That's right?51!

Nissan believes this will help them achieve its goal of a 15% market share of vehicles in Japan, and a global share of 10%.

Nissan is getting closer to already achieving an 8% share in both the global market and operating profit margin by 2016. Nissan jumped from 5.8% and 6.1% in the year ended March…

Nissan Invites You to Experience a Zero-Emission Society

The LEAF is just part of it folks. Nissan's ultimate goal is to develop a zero-emission society. It may seem farfetched, but the Japanese automaker doesn't really see any alternative and is hosting more frequent discussions about the utopia. Among the two songs Nissan asked fans to vote on was an electronic rendition of "Manners" and a remake of "Twinkle, Twinkle" performed by Fredrika Stahl. The…

Using the Nissan LEAF as a Home Generator

We all know how popular the LEAF has become with consumers.  It has created raving fans and we at Anchor Nissan are excited to announce that Nissan is working on adding to the practicality of the LEAF.  The second-largest Japanese automaker is working to enable LEAF electric vehicle (EV) owners to use the car to power homes during long-term outages and blackouts.

Hideaki Watanabe, Global Head of Zero Emission Vehicles, Nissan, indicates the LEAF battery stores up to 24 kilowatt hours (kWh). To put this into better perspective: That's enough kWh to power a U.S. household for roughly…

Nissan Takes Victor's Spoils at 1000 KMS of Spa

Nissan is proving to be a real crowd pleaser these days. And, we're not talking about their impressive sales figures. However, if you've been keeping up with the news, you know the Japanese automaker has been pretty impressive and in certain instances breaking records. Right now, though, we're talking about the track!

The TDS Racing Oreca, powered by Nissan recently won the 1000 kms of Spa. Nissan power also took second place at the Boutsen Energy Racing Oreca. And, while it may be less impressive than the first and second placements, the Signatech Nissan team commanded by…
